Person I know converted to Islam after a stint in Vietnam in 1971 and
practiced for about six years. He later married a girl in a Catholic
ceremony and started re-attending Mass weekly. In the time since, he
has founded an architecural firm and does business (moderately world-
wide). About a year ago, he had to pass on a potential contract in the
Middle East when told by the State Department that it would be in his
interest NOT to go there. If the Islamics ever found out that he was a
lapsed Moslem, his life would be forfeit.
