Hawaii, at approx 28,000 square km, would be one of the larger Pacific
island nations. Rather than secession, W-I the 1893 coup never
occurred, or if the the US had never annexed the islands in 1897? Could
see big butterflies in Pacific and even Asian history, if there was no
Pearl Harbor naval base set up there.
