I wouldn't count on that. Remember the excitement in Dublin, after the
BBC had decided to divide the British participation? Everyone in
Ireland was certain that there'd be a new Celtic scoring axis between
Dublin, Glasgow and Cardiff, and that after twenty long years of zero
scores, the Irish would _finally_ get at least some points for their
pretentious ballads.
Of course, we remember what happened. Even that Doherty's massive
over-the-top dance group that was added to back up the whole sorry act
didn't help the poor Micks to rise above the zero limit. Nope, pretty
much everyone in Scotland and Wales still figured that England's act
was better and voted for the Spinal Tap instead.
