Not very. The British already had the good colonies. The French
colonial empire was more trouble than it was worth and the British
have always found the prospect of a United Europe looming over them to
be a trifle unnerving. What's more, once Germany achieved
unquestioned dominance over the continent, they'd go back to fleet
building with better ports and more resources. |
